If I had a pound for every time I am asked this question, I would definitely be the proud owner of the Lego Death Star.
But it is such an important question! Related to this question is “Shall I do another postdoc?”.
Both have the same answer – don’t be a victim of postdoctoral drift! Becoming a postdoc should be an active decision. Taking on the next postdoc should be a deliberate act which says “I want to do more research science that will add to my skillset and experience level.”
